Bill Strickland explains why he doesn’t train. 

I’ve pretty much made the same decision. It didn’t take long for me to realize that the road is where I shake out the cobwebs, have a think, pray, look around, go into the drops and go flat out, talk to sheep, noodle, climb, and wear myself out. Training makes riding an obligation, and who wants that much structure for their free time?
